Fishing Comes to Wizard101!
Grab your fishing pole Wizards, it’s time to hit the open water and find your prize. We’ve wanted to include fishing in Wizard101 since before its launch almost six years ago, and now it’s finally here!
What makes fishing different in the Spiral? Magic of course! Wizards cast a magical lure into open waters to create a truly unique fish. Don’t expect any boring ol’ Salmon or Marlin in the Spiral… instead we have rare species like the Deathacuda and the (potentially tasty) Fish Sandwich. If you love hearing about the new and exciting kinds of fish you can catch, make sure to check out the Fishapedia created by Mercenaries for Hire.

Not a huge fan of fish? Well, that’s outrig-ragious (outrig… outriggers… get it?). That’s okay, even if fish alone aren’t your thing fishing can add great value to your Wizard. Sometimes instead of a fish, your Wizard can catch an elusive treasure chest. These chests are filled with cool items ranging from gold to Crowns items!
In the real world, one of the largest fish ever caught weighed in at nearly 1500 pounds! We’re not sure there are fish that big in Wizard101, but they definitely are going to be a lot more magical! What’s better is that you can show off your best fish in new fishtanks that will look awesome in your house. Look at this amazing “wall of fishtanks” that Paige Moonshade has created:

I think the entire concept is fun, however you should get much more xp for catching a fish appropriate to the type of lure used. ie: mythocuda with a myth lure should give way more xp than just the quest fish. Meh, I’ll use my energy towards something else useful and relevant to the game.

I really love fishing, but you know what the best part is you can go to the commons again. It is quiet and quite a pleasant place to visit again.

When I thought I could not love Wizard101 more they add fishing! Awesome! I am having a blast because it reminds me of the many hours on the water I have spent fishing minus the bugs and snagged lines and smelly bait. LOL

I would like it even more if the aquariums could be bought with gold because I think it is unfair for people who cant be members but other than that I love it!

If you could go fishing in ponds or streams in your house, that would be fantastic, i see people crowding around all the rivers in wizard city lol. Like for instance, add some fish into certain houses, like the bonefish in the death house swimming pool, who knows what lurks in that thing?
You should be able to fish in your house and have people in each type of house with a quest to catch a fish that’s only in that house. It would make the fishing concept WAY better. 😀

I think the concept is cool, but I wish that it was easier to catch them. I have caught barely any fish this whole time, and even when I spend all my energy, I’m lucky to catch 3 fish. 😦
where can i get a fish tank?
I love it but the crowns prices for tanks are ridiculous. They might be cheap for one time, but once you want to showcase a bunch of fish, it adds up to too many. Please reduce the prices for the tanks or maybe make each tank a separate purchase. Crafting is also too much if you want multiple tanks, because you have to catch maybe at least 50 fish for 5 tanks,
Would help if it told you what school the fish is in your quest. for example, it says “catfish” but I do not know what school catfish is so I can use the correct school lore.

I love the fishing, but I wish I had some fishing gear to wear that might boost my energy and let people know I’m fishing and not into quests at the moment.

i like magic fishing,but you should add a fish rod and some baits to catch new fish or like a secondary way of getting this fishs.also,there should be some fish tanks that could be buy with wizard101 coins,not only crowns.and also,there are some payed zones that corespond with some element.that should be accesible from start for wizard with that elements.ex.oasias for balance,firecat alley for fire,colossu boulevard for ice,cyclops alley for mith,crab alley for storm,and for life and death i dont know.also,you should have the ability to trade with othr players not only treasure cards,but housing items,plat items,reagents,maibe castles,maibe pets too!hope you like my idea

seance we can put out fish in tanks to keep them wt if we have no room in our house for the tanks are you going to up how much stuff we can put in our houses?
enjoying the fishing…wish there was a craft spell to craft treant…maybe 10 lifeacuda or dekoi for one treant? That would still be 100 fish to get enough treants to craft ONE regular aquarium, so still not an easy task. Also really wish we could place fish in large aquarium that is already in Storm house
please make a crown pack that is for 3 regular keeper tanks, as that is the size most often caught. Still wish we could craft treantfish (maybe ratio of 10 lifeacuda or dekoi to 1treant) AND wish there was a way to put fish into aquarium that is part of the Storm House.
I would so be very grateful if you would make it possible to put all my fish I catch into One Mega Fish Tank, So I can be able to sell them all without having to use one tank per fish.

I am a level 43 wizard and I cant get the quest for grizzleheim! please help
I love Wiz 101 and have been playing a few years now. I am also very disappointed that the specialty fish are SO rare. After purchasing recipes and obtaining all but ONE fish I need, it seems as though that last fish as gone extinct!
I find the fishing incredibly boring but I have a quest that requires a fish — is there a vendor where you can just buy one? Don’t want to waste my time or character’s energy on fishing but I see the Bazaar doesn’t sell them, nor the fishing guy in the Commons.
Why viewers still use to read news papers when in this technological globe everything
is accessible on net?
