It’s fun to compare yourself to video game characters, and the Spiral is full of great ones! Which Wizard101 characters are you like?
If you’re single-minded…
After Malistaire’s wife Sylvia died, he left his post as professor of the Death School in Ravenwood and turned his focus toward stealing the powerful book known as the Krokonomicon. His goal? Making the Dragon Titan bring his wife back. It’s hard not to admire that kind of stubborn determination!
If you’re stylish…
Some Wizard101 players select clothing items based primarily on how fashionable they are, then stitch on the properties of other garments so they’re able to pack a punch in battle and look great while doing so! If that sounds like you, chances are that you identify with Dalia Falmea, professor of fire magic. Dalia can usually be seen wearing her trademark red and orange gown, but if you’ve ever encountered her in the Wizard City Telegraph Box during the Five B.O.X.E.S event, you’ll probably recall she has a stunning blue outfit as well. One thing’s for sure: Whatever color she’s wearing, Dalia is dressed to impress.

If you love to travel…
Most Wizard101 characters only frequent certain regions of the Spiral, but Prospector Zeke isn’t one of them. In fact, he can be found in the main area of each world, selling mounts and assigning quests. He’s one of the first characters you meet as a young Wizard, and you’ll still find yourself interacting with him at Level 100! If you enjoy visiting different places and trying to blend into the local culture wherever you go, you’ve got something in common with Prospector Zeke!

If you’re always willing to lend a hand…
When Malistaire disappeared following his wife’s death, classes at the Death School were canceled indefinitely. Without a professor, the school faced an uncertain future, and that’s when Malorn Ashthorn stepped in to ensure the practice of necromancy didn’t die out—no pun intended. This student-turned-teacher can be found in Ravenwood, making sure new Death Wizards know the basics of their school. Once they’ve picked up a few skills and spells, Malorn directs them to Nightside, where they can continue their studies with Dworgyn, a more seasoned instructor.

If you simply love being yourself…
It’s fun to find similarities between yourself and video game characters like the familiar faces in Wizard101, but at the end of the day, you’re one of a kind—and that’s something to celebrate! Wizard101 lets you show off your uniqueness by giving you the opportunity to choose your character’s name, school, outfit and even hairstyle, so no two Wizards are the same!
Many games have cheat codes, and although Wizard101 players aren’t cheaters, they are pretty smart! Here are some Wizard101 tips and tricks to help players advance their characters, get free stuff and improve their overall gaming experience.
Skip the test
When a new player sets up a Wizard101 account, Merle Ambrose will guide him or her through the process of creating a character. This involves choosing the Wizard’s gender, name and appearance, as well as taking a test to determine which school the Wizard belongs to. The quiz, which can be found in the Book of Secrets, includes questions about the player’s personality, preferences and priorities. While it’s great for newbies who are unsure which school will fit them best, it’s not as useful for seasoned players looking to create secondary characters who belong to particular schools. Rather than trying to guide the quiz toward recommending a specific school, these players can select the “Skip the test” option—or simply select a different school if the quiz doesn’t suggest the one they’re hoping for.

Find the bizarre at the bazaar
The wide variety of wares on offer at the Bazaar is one of the best-kept Wizard101 secrets. It’s possible to sort the items on sale at the Bazaar in several different ways: alphabetically, by rank, by school, by cost and by number. Players who love snagging rarities to use, wear or display can click the “#” sign in any category to see what’s in short supply. Crafted items even appear at the Bazaar from time to time!
Sidestep item limits
Wizards’ backpacks, banks, houses and attics all have item limits, but players with more than one character on their accounts can take advantage of the shared bank. The shared bank is often used to transfer items between players—a Life Wizard who wins a pair of Storm boots could pass them along to a Storm Wizard created using the same account, for example—but it’s also a great option to keep in mind when storage space gets tight. Meanwhile, players who want to place more items in their houses than the usual restrictions allow may want to purchase the Bric-a-Brac Elixir from the Crown Shop for a permanent 50-item increase.
Play mini games on FreeKIGames.com
Mini games like Potion Motion and Doodle Dug are a fun part of the Spiral, but players don’t have to be inside the Wizard101 universe to play. At FreeKIGames.com, Wizard101 fans can play the games they know and love, and win exclusive free game codes in the process. They may not be Wizard101 cheat codes, but they’re prize codes, which is even better!

Follow Wizard101 on social media
Players who follow Wizard101’s Facebook and Twitter accounts can win free items by being among the first to redeem codes for pets, mounts, reagents, treasure cards and more. There’s no telling when the next flash offer will pop up, so players should keep their eyes peeled and their fingers ready to type in the next code at a moment’s notice!
Do you have any Wizard101 tips and tricks of your own to share?
Did you know that January 28, 2016 is Data Privacy Day? Data Privacy Day was created to help raise awareness about the importance of online security. While online safety is important in all aspects of the internet, it is particularly important when playing online games like Wizard101 and Pirate101. Let’s explore some helpful tips to keep your personal information and KingsIsle game accounts safe.
Never share your password with anyone.
Some dishonest people online may seek to gain control of your game account by offering to give you Crowns or in-game items if you share your account with them. To keep all of our players’ account safe, it is against the Terms of Use to share your password, and thus share your account, with anyone. If you do this, you will lose your account forever, and that’s no fun! Always remember, KingsIsle employees will never ask for your password. More information about the dangers of account sharing can be found in this helpful video from Wizard101 Help and Support.

Protect your identity online.
It’s fun to make friends in online games, but personal information isn’t always appropriate to share in game. Parents should discuss with their children the types of information that shouldn’t be shared online, such as home address, phone number and full name. It’s easy to control your child’s interactions within Wizard101 and Pirate101 by using the various chat settings available. The safest version available for young players is Menu Chat, which allows player to use pre-selected phrases to communicate. To access your account chat settings visit, My Account and then Parental Controls at the Wizard101 or Pirate101 websites. Learn more about the various chat settings in our Players Guide.

Look out for imposters.
Some people online may attempt to access your game account or personal information by pretending to work for KingsIsle. If you need help from customer support, send an email to help@kingsisle.com. KingsIsle Customer Support will never reply back to your email, or send you emails directly, from any domain other than Kingsisle.com. For example, we will never email you from gmail.com or yahoo.com. Also, KingsIsle will never ask for your whole credit card number, expiration date or pin code. In game, KingsIsle employees have a special KingsIsle Support badge. If any player claims to work for KingsIsle, but is not able to show you this badge, do not believe them as they may be an imposter.
Cheating can cheat you.
Any program claiming to be able to cheat, “hack,” or generate Crowns should not be trusted. Players should also be wary of websites or social media users (with the exception those on our Official Fan Sites list) that offer to give you free Crowns or in-game items. While some of these may be honest attempts at a giveaway, others may have purchased these codes using stolen credit cards which will then put your game account at risk if you redeem them. Also, do not buy Gold, Crowns, bundles or subscriptions from any other site than the official sources for Wizard101 and Pirate101. Purchasing through unauthorized third party sources can put your credit card and game account at risk of being stolen.
Following the tips above is a great place to start in keeping your account and personal information safe while playing KingsIsle games. Practicing good judgement online is important for players of all ages. For parents looking to learn more about general online safety for their children, Google Safety Center is a great resource.
Here’s to happy and safe online gaming in 2016!
‘Tis the season for gift-giving, cold weather, days off from work or school, and… gaming. Because people tend to stay inside more at this time of year, winter gaming is a popular activity. Here are just four of the many reasons why winter is gaming season.
- When the weather outside is frightful, you can still play with your friends.
It can be frustrating when you want nothing more than to head over to a friend’s house and spend some quality time together, but the weather has other ideas. Even if you’re avoiding an impending storm, are already snowed in, or simply don’t want to leave your cozy house and venture out into the cold, you don’t have to give up on having fun! You aren’t doomed to a season of solitude after all, because if your friends are into winter video games like Wizard101, you can still hang out together in the Spiral. Running into each other by chance is easier said than done in a place as big as the Spiral, so if you’re 13 or older, be sure to connect with your real-life friends using True Friend codes.
- Winter gaming is a great antidote for cabin fever.
Once you’ve been stuck at home for a few days, the novelty quickly wears off. Cabin fever is common at this time of year, but winter gaming can provide the great escape you’re looking for. After you spend some time in Krokotopia, Zafaria, or Azteca, the snow outside your window will seem a million miles away. On the other hand, if you’re looking for someone to commiserate with about the frosty weather, the residents of Wintertusk and Polaris will definitely understand the struggle!
- Your loved ones may have a little more time for gaming.
If you enjoy playing video games with your loved ones, you’re probably all too familiar with their busy lives getting in the way of your precious game time. You know the drill—they want to play, but other stuff has to take priority. But there’s good news: Between scheduled holiday breaks and unscheduled snow days, people tend to be more available for winter gaming at this time of year.

- Winter video games go great with your favorite things about the season.
Roaring fires, cozy sweaters, and steaming hot chocolate are some of the best things about the season, and you can enjoy all these perks while taking part in winter gaming. Cuddle up on the couch with a warm blanket and your favorite mug, log into Wizard101, and make the most of gaming season sooner rather than later, because before you know it, the snow will be melting and spring will be here!

Music—much like online gaming—has the power to calm you down, pump you up, focus your attention and ultimately inspire you. In short, it can be a potent tool when you’re looking to set a mood. Think about how lame scary movies would seem without their spooky soundtracks, or how different a feel-good TV show would be without some stirring songs in the background. The use of music in MMORPGs tends to follow the same principle, but the Wizard101 soundtrack takes the idea to the next level. After purchasing Music Scrolls that feature the unique themes composed for different areas of the Spiral, Wizards can load the Scrolls into their very own Music Players and transform the ambience of their Dorms and Castles. But why limit the magic of the Wizard101 soundtrack to the world of the Spiral? Here are some recommendations for players looking for tips on how to apply the Wizard101 gaming playlist to real-world tasks.
Doing Homework
Krokotopia Theme 2 is a great choice of background music for when you’re doing homework or any other task that requires extreme concentration. Its rousing chords will keep you alert and focused, while its steady tempo will ensure you don’t get too pumped up and distracted. It’s dropped by Odji Sokkwi in the Hall of Champions and Taylor Froghead in the Grand Arena.
Other options:
- Grizzleheim Theme 1, as heard inside Skathi’s Nest and dropped by Jotun.
- Marleybone Theme 2, as heard in Knight’s Court and dropped by Jacques the Scratcher.

Working Out
The Krokotopia Dance Theme is a fun addition to any workout playlist. Its infectious rhythm and fast beat will have you picking up the pace in no time. Win this scroll by playing a Mini-Game like Skull Riders or Sorcery Stones, and hear the theme in-game while playing the Krokotopia level of the Dance Game in the Pet Pavilion.
Other options:
- Mooshu Dance Theme, as heard during the Mooshu level of the Dance Game and won by playing Mini-Games.
- Wizard City Dance Theme, as heard during the Wizard City level of the Dance Game and dropped by Baron Rotunda and the Great Troll.
Kicking Back
After you’re done with work and exercising, it’s time to kick back and relax. Whether you’re preparing for a low-key activity like coloring or Sudoku or simply getting ready for a nap, the Mooshu Main Theme is the perfect musical accompaniment. Thanks to its bamboo pipes and Far Eastern stringed instruments, you’ll be chilled out in no time. The Mooshu Main Theme can be heard in the Jade Palace and is dropped by the Jade Oni, Mika Skarka and Takanobu the Masterless.
Other options:
- Avalon Main Theme, as heard in Caliburn and dropped by a host of Avalonians, including Lady of the Blue Dahlia and Catalan the Lightning Lizard.
- Celestia Mysterious Theme 2, as heard in the Survey Camp and dropped by Procyon.
You can download many of the Wizard101 themes as ringtones from our website. What themes from the Wizard101 soundtrack do you like to listen to while doing everyday things?
