KingsIsle Goes Golfing!
It’s no surprise that there’s a lot of work to get done here at KingsIsle, with two major MMOs running and lots of secret projects in the works! Even though we work hard, we also play hard. About once a month, KingsIsle employees from all different departments get together for a company sponsored fun day. These fun days range from playing board games at the office to going to the Austin food bank and lending a helping hand. Last week we headed to a new Austin sensation, Top Golf, to practice our swing!
Top Golf takes the concept of working on your golf game to a new level by adding targets to the driving range and special micro-chipped balls that track each player’s score. Being a bunch of gamers, we obviously enjoyed turning golf into a live action mini game!
We have some impressive golfers here at KingsIsle! I however, am not one of them and was very content to hit the not-so-very-far-in red and yellow targets. Hey, not everyone can be Tiger Woods!
Even though my drives were pretty close in, we had some golfers with quite a bit of oomph behind their swing. Wait a second, is this golf or baseball? I thought the balls were supposed to hit the targets… not the cars!
Of course, not everyone felt like golfing. Many people here are gamers through and through, and that’s not limited to just computer games. Just inside the driving range, several intense tabletop games were going on like Settlers of Catan and WizWar.
Whether you played golf or games, this latest fun day was a great way to relax and socialize with co-workers outside of the office. Having a fun day like this leaves us refreshed and ready for more hard work ahead. Plus who knows, we may get some cool ideas from these outings! Wizard golfing anyone? Just kidding, but you never know… 🙂

I think you guys needed a break from making new things for pirate101 and wizard101.
golfer 101 is a great idea, may be ease into it by introducing it in one of the mini games first.
you guys need a brake i mean you are working almost all day on the game so it looks like you had a lot of fun good for you guys! 😀

yeah i like to take a break from making ideas and such like at my countys ponderosa they have an ice cream machine so i get root beer and so i can put vanilla ice cream in it and make a root beer float

I think it would be cool if they let players morph pets, & if hatched pets were evidently hybrids.

I saw your blog and instantly got together with several of my friends and talked about it. We think, unanimously, that put put golf would be an awesome idea for a new pet game lol.. Imagine shooting your pet from a cannon kinda like in the castle game) at random targets throughout a course (rather like the one with the swinging hammers, etc). sounds like a challenging and rewarding way to level your pets. 😀 Just saying 😀

Oh i also think you guys should make it to where we can actually set down on like the chairs and beds in the game that would be kewl 😀 but i am still really glad that you all had fun! 🙂
i think you should work on making more lvls for wizard101 so the lvl 90 could go higher but take break every once in a while
add the pet selling at bazaar again PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ i would love wizard even more! a wizard101 fan

Wizard101 has made me play for over four years
You guys should make the captain’s quarters in pirate101 like a small home with a bank so we dont have to go all the way home to get something out.

lol glad you guys are not all work and no play 🙂 when I get older I am going to fly to America and work at kingsisle! 😀 I’m from Australia and I told ALLLLL my friends about w101 and p101 they love it but not as much as I doooooo 😉
