Professor Greyrose Looks Back to her Favorite Year in Wizard101 (so far!)
This month we are celebrating the 6th anniversary of Wizard101 and it just so happens, my 5th anniversary as a Wizard101 player. So many things have changed since the early days of my adventure in the Spiral, and it has been quite the journey to watch it all unfold. In looking back over the years, I thought I’d highlight a year that was a favorite and one of the most formative for me as a Wizard101 player.
When I began as a newbie Death Wizard in 2009, the level cap was 50. I took my time exploring the various worlds of the Spiral and finally reached that elusive Grandmaster title in March of 2010. The journey was an exciting one and I’ll never forget how proud I was to finally get that last “ding!” with the help of my friends in the Spiral.
Shortly thereafter, the pet system in Wizard101 got the amazing overhaul known as the advanced pet system. What a game changer this was! Can you even remember back when pets were just decoration, rather than valuable assets in combat and skilled racers in the derby? Hatching pets was such a deep and involving system to learn, it launched its very own fan site in the Petnome Project.
That summer we began to get hints that a new world would be coming to the game with the early Celestia preview quests. The excitement and energy in the community was palpable! With each new peek at this underwater world, I anticipated its arrival even more. And that June, I got the special honor of being able to visit the KingsIsle studio and get my very first look at Celestia and the new villain Morganthe. Having the opportunity to bring that back with me to Ravenwood Radio and share with everyone all the exciting tidbits I’d learned was a blast!
Later that fall, when Celestia was released, I dived right in (pun intended)! Not only were the new areas beautiful and unlike anything else that I’d seen in Wizard101, the new Astral schools of magic and addition of Critical and Block were more game changers. Trying new strategies and using the Sun and Star school spells to defeat these new challenges was a learning experience to say the least!
Finally, in December of 2010, another new activity came to Wizard101 in Gardening. This added a whole new way to interact with your house, and with so many cute and funny plants to grow, it was delightful.
2010 was a big year for Wizard101 and a big year for me as a player as well. I will always think fondly of this time of my adventures in the Spiral. It’s hard to believe that Wizard101 has been with us for 6 years now and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

in the first i’m from egypt and i have been playing this game since 2011 and i knew a lot of good friends, it make me better in english it’s amazing game
When i first started playing i hated it. but i started to like it after level 10. my favorite year was last year ( 2013 ) I LOVED the mounts and hair styles. Thank you for making this the best game ever! I will never forget wizzy101!!!

over the years, wizard101 was the best game ever! Years flew by real fast, but i hope this year isn’t the last. keep it up kingsisle! My wizard is level 18, but i will learn more on the way. throughout the game i have been in many battles. some rough, some easy. But all i needed to be was confident. My friends also helped me in most battles. I couldn’t have made it out lady blackhopes if it wasn’t for my friends and i. I really hope you guys make more good updates. scratch that, more SPECTACULAR updates! Now, my favorite year has 2013 halloween update. I liked all the bosses i had to defeat! I also liked the mounts, houses, and hairstyles! Keep making those spectacular updates! Remember, i will always be waiting. I wont for get you wizzy! ever! 🙂
When I first played this game it was a little fun to me because I could text friends and have my own house. Then I started playing it more I was on level 10 then got up o a higher level. I love this game now. My cousin first played the game and liked it. I played pirate 101 before but it is really not fun as wizard 101. I know some people on wizard 101 because their my cousins and my sister. Everyone should love wizard101. I play it almost all day.

My favorite year of Wizard101 was 2014 because of Fishing! I was waiting for Kingsisle to release this new update and with the new fishes we’ve come along our journeys through the spiral and year. i also liked this month because of THE WIZARD101 SIXTH BIRTHDAY!. It was amazing. There was gifts, new packs, and a new pet, the Grandpa piggle. Also, there was a mystery fish ( which isn’t a mystery at all.) It was the gobbler fish. Before that, there was the Warhammerhead shark, (which i have already caught), and in the previous weeks, there were gifts we could redeem, gold, a housing item, and snacks. But most of all, i’m really looking forward to the next weeks because on the 6th birthday cake, there is a candle for each week. So far, there is 4, but i really wanna see wt the other candles hold in store for us in the next two weeks! (By Zachary Legend Mancer)

my favorite year is halloween caus ethere are bunch of scarey stuf fand i njoy it i love it i love this game i like how there mystirouse things in the quets i love it i love mystirise so yea i am so happy of the 6 birth of wizard 101 i was like omg birthday part! 😀 you get wt i mean like i am so excited for the birthday party but i gonna be sad when it end well not that sad haloween is so scarey and scarey with wizard 101 is like amazing! but the othere years like easter day chrismess valentines day i have o say your making this game more fun than it is even tho i am a low level i love this game i just i love it oh and if you do new stuff i am gonna do it new stuff means like you keep in it for ever but even if you likr krp it forever dosent mean you dont have fun or you dont have to take care of it
my favorite year was 2012 and 2014 because its was amazing years ever i love them special the haloween i like earth day too and other updates in 2014 i like too the new crown shop and mounts pet every thing i do love it

Ever since wizard101 came out in 2008 i have been playing ever since and i also thing the best year was 2013 but ever since it came out they put allot of great stuff.
kingslsle is the best website you can be on..kingslsle is amazing it includes many di9ffrent amazing thing such as mounts wands castles pets and even on holidays they celibrate it . i love kingsle and hope you have a happy six year .every time i get home i go on wizard101 after school. if anyone wants to see me in game my name is brandonghostwhisper. so hope to see you online.happy six year.
When I first started playing the game I was stuck with level 9 and I asked my dad to buy crowns but he said no. So when you added the lost pages quest I was able to almost get to level 10. So, my favorite year is 2014 because of all the things you added. my favorite year of wizard101 was last year. When I started that day I started I levled up 20 times got a lot of spells to I also got 1,00000 gold and crowns best year of my life.
When i first started playing the game on Christmas there was a gift and i picked 500 crowns and i didn’t pick the rock because i thought it was a house item so when i saw other people with it, it was a pet. and i enjoy this game a lot i really need crowns to level up and finish my quest. and this game is so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why? Wizard101, because it’s FAN-tastical!! And, that’s to say the least. 2012, I was looking for a gaming experience that allowed great interaction with other people, user friendly, great support & FUN!! Not to mention somewhat addicting. Love it.
So, I googled, low and behold in 2012 I started the Wizard101 experience. About the time Avalon was being discussed. But since I was new to the game, I was much more concerned with the learning curve of gardening, crafting, questing Wizard City and gaining experience to adventure into the new worlds.
I just want to say Thank You Wizard101! I have so enjoyed the game, the creativity, the continual new worlds and quests, As in reality, the Best of Both Worlds!
Overall my favorite year of wizard101 was the first year i started wizard101 which was about 4 years ago i believe, i’m not a high level mainly because the problem with crowns,but that didn’t stop me from having fun with seeing pvp,new spells, and lots of other events like halloween event,Wizard101 has to be one of my favorite games

I love this game!! The only problem is I can’t buy much crowns. :C All I have bought is Firecat Alley, Cyclops Lane, and Collosus Boulevard. I wish I won! 😀
My favorite year is most likely this year. I just came back from about a 3 year break from this game. I’ve started over, making a new wizard, choosing a new school (Death) and even creating a new account! I joined around May 2010, and I’m so impressed to see how much the game has improved and expanded since then. The greatest part is, it still has that magical feel to it, which is what I loved when I first joined and what I love now.
I personally love 2014 because they added fishing and much more. wizard has really been trying. I also love wizard because they added hairstyles! I don’t know what I could do with that old ruggedy hair! also darkmoor is a great success. my sister loves it. keep up the good work kingsisle we are so great full wizard101 came to us thanks again! I just have one suggestion: add more pets and more houses! and maybe in the test realm let level 90+ in the test realm make there own worlds! 🙂
