Professor Greyrose Looks Back to her Favorite Year in Wizard101 (so far!)
This month we are celebrating the 6th anniversary of Wizard101 and it just so happens, my 5th anniversary as a Wizard101 player. So many things have changed since the early days of my adventure in the Spiral, and it has been quite the journey to watch it all unfold. In looking back over the years, I thought I’d highlight a year that was a favorite and one of the most formative for me as a Wizard101 player.
When I began as a newbie Death Wizard in 2009, the level cap was 50. I took my time exploring the various worlds of the Spiral and finally reached that elusive Grandmaster title in March of 2010. The journey was an exciting one and I’ll never forget how proud I was to finally get that last “ding!” with the help of my friends in the Spiral.
Shortly thereafter, the pet system in Wizard101 got the amazing overhaul known as the advanced pet system. What a game changer this was! Can you even remember back when pets were just decoration, rather than valuable assets in combat and skilled racers in the derby? Hatching pets was such a deep and involving system to learn, it launched its very own fan site in the Petnome Project.
That summer we began to get hints that a new world would be coming to the game with the early Celestia preview quests. The excitement and energy in the community was palpable! With each new peek at this underwater world, I anticipated its arrival even more. And that June, I got the special honor of being able to visit the KingsIsle studio and get my very first look at Celestia and the new villain Morganthe. Having the opportunity to bring that back with me to Ravenwood Radio and share with everyone all the exciting tidbits I’d learned was a blast!
Later that fall, when Celestia was released, I dived right in (pun intended)! Not only were the new areas beautiful and unlike anything else that I’d seen in Wizard101, the new Astral schools of magic and addition of Critical and Block were more game changers. Trying new strategies and using the Sun and Star school spells to defeat these new challenges was a learning experience to say the least!
Finally, in December of 2010, another new activity came to Wizard101 in Gardening. This added a whole new way to interact with your house, and with so many cute and funny plants to grow, it was delightful.
2010 was a big year for Wizard101 and a big year for me as a player as well. I will always think fondly of this time of my adventures in the Spiral. It’s hard to believe that Wizard101 has been with us for 6 years now and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

my averit thing about wizard101 is that we can get mounts and clothes and pet and sncks and other things and you can do qwust and you can lvl up and and make new online friends and might find people they i can or you may know wizard101 is a save game nothing bad about it wizaed101 it a fun game and i thank people for playing this game and just to say i hope y’all people that play this game hope you have fun!!!!

my favorite thing about wizard101 is that you made a game for people to find online friends become friends and hang out honestly its the best game I’ve every played I have lots of friends and we get to hang out I also love how you put gifting so people can be generous and kind to gift so I say nice job kingsile
well wizard101 is a awesome game you get to meet friends and hang out I think its pretty great to have dungeons we can show our skill and earn some pretty good items also I like the pets they can help you in battle and make you look awesome (but they already do) so I just wanted to say thank you for making this awesome online game known as WIZARD101 🙂

My favorite year of Wizard101 was this year because in the past month, we got membership. I was so happy, and so were my brothers. We used to play every single day so we could get as much levels as we could before our membership ended. So everyday i got on hoping to try and become an exalted conjurer, going to waterworks, ( which i have already done), and also, to just have fun with my friends and family and have the best time we could ever have until our membership ended.
my favorite part of wizard101 is that i love how they have new graphics and you get to talk freely to your friends. i love how they keep upgrading it and always have new stuff when i go on. Best game ever!!! the creaters who did this thanks alot i love it

My favorite thing about Wizard101 is experiencing different things in the game like pets and clothes,every player is a awesome wizard even if their newcomers they are gonna be great wizards.Wizard101 is the best game i ever played theirs nothing bad about wizard101.I have to rate this game 10/10 game i like to adventure different realms,battle other wizards and have fun.
What i love about about the years since i played is that i got to make lots of friends online and play. Wizard101 is what taught me to type without looking at my keyboard and type faster. Its a awesome game for kids and helps them in ways, helped me do things that i couldn’t do after playing this game.

i love wizard101 i play everyday i love all in every eyear when the game have birthday i call my friends we make one big cake and we happy because the game have birthday i love the free gifts who the game give we i love gardening i love to get free pets and mounts from the gifts and do trivia for some crowns but i most love to be with all to be with the game and to be funny when i play i think this game is best ever!!!
my favorite year is this because kingisle doubled the crowns of trivia and maked new pet,clothes,quests,more levels more spell more areas and this is so fun and i loved this year thank you king isle for creating this cool game i find many new friends and i haved fun so much i really want you kingisle to make new things in wizard to have more fun in the game and this contest is the best thank you for so much cool things you maded

to tell the truth i really didnt like wizard101 at first i thought it was so boring until i begin questing and meeting new people that are helpful. 2014 is one of the best years for wizard 101 cause it has more things diffrent stuff happen every week and i like that and i hope everybody else like it to wizard isnt just a game to me its my life on my compuer i spend a lot of time on wizard101 cause its so adventurous . i like all the cool mounts and other things but i love kingsisle the most for making the most fantastic game ever thats all for now bye
Wizard101 now has become my favorite game. Leveling up gives you new spells and new attributes, and there is an excitement to it and I am really glad that i found Wizard101. Sign up to wizard101 and play. I promise you it will be as fun as I mentioned
My favorite thing about wizard101 is that even though I was muted. I still met a lot of nice and interesting people and one of my friends in game met her husband on it. It was fun seeing her getting married and everything. Well of course in every game you meet rather unpleasant people and I don’t really take them on. The best year was last year because that’s when I first got membership and I live in the caribbean so it’s hard to get here. A friend I met in wizard gifted it to me. She’s a nice person. This game has been really fun for me and I hope it is for others.
My favorite thing about Wizard101 that is magic and with the pets that we can train and tthe mounts we can ride and the uest we can do in the invirtual world is so cool and i love al the birthdays of Wizard City and all the spiral 🙂 happy birthday

is the wizards how you can battle make friends pvp with friends or by yourself this game is the best game I have ever played! Happy birthday wizard101 😀

My favorite year was this year because of all of the new updates they add like fishing and some new pets. I really like the way they changed the crowns shop it was really smart of them to do that to make it easier to buy things that you want to and all of the new gardening plants and other things that have been add to the game it is the beast ever so thanks so much to kingsisle you guys are one of my favorite people that work there you guys are the best ever I can’t wait for more of the new updates I can’t wait happy birthday kingsisle you guys are the best ever.
since i started playing wizard101 in 2011 i have enjoyed so many things that have happened in this game ever since like for example new worlds coming up, defeating different types of enemies through out the spiral, making new friends everyday that i have expended playing this game, but my favorite year and moments that i have experienced and enjoyed the most are the halloween special in october in 2013, when hades dungeon came up and when khrysalis part 2 came up in 2014. when hades dungeon came up it was one of my best moments because i have been waiting so long to finish seen which was last character that i would had to defeate to finish aquila’s main story and dungeons and also get new gear for my lvl 90 wizard so i could make it more powerful, been able to defeat other players easier in pvp and play together with all my friends and getting excited about getting really rare gear. My second favorite moment was when khrysalis part 2 came up because i was really excited about getting shadow magic transformations and beast so doing quests to defeat enemies from balance school could be easier because i’m from balance school and i dont have prisms so it would make it easier for me and it would be easier to defeat players in pvp too. Finally my final and MOST FAVORITE MOMENT was when the halloween special came up in 2013 because it showed new enemies in the game that were really unusual to see in the game, the house that the vampire bonnie had was great because it had a dungeon for different lvl wizards so every could play depending on their lvl and also i loved the really awesome loot that you could get from it like the skull mask or the creeper’s hood they would make you look great if you stitch it with your own gear. this were my most favorite and awesome years of me playing wizard101. I don’t exactly have a favorite year. There are so many things in the game throughout these amazing six years that has made me have a great experience with the game. My first ever wizard I created was an ice wizard. Her name was Marissa. When my best friend and I were level fives and used thundersnake, we thought we were the most powerful wizards in the whole game! We looked at Blaze LifeHammer’s youtube channel. We thought that we were nevergoing to get very far; but we did. I always loved moving from world to world. I love to see new things and battle different kinds of mobs. I liked the challenge. At the moment, my wizard in in Dragonspyre. Sorry this post wasn’t too long. There is so much more quests to do and a lot of worlds to explore. I hope to see a tenth anniversary. Happy Birthday Wizard101. Thanks for changing my life.

Hello new wizards or old wizards. It doesn’t matter if your a old or new wizard. It matters that you came to wizard101. An awesome beatiful game wear you battle evil,learn new spells,make friends, buy new stuff, and be a awesome spectacular wizard. By the way the best thing I like on wizard101 is I like wizards,teachers,proffesors,and espetially friends.

What has been your favorite year of Wizard101 and why?
My favorite year in Wizard101, was every year i have been playing, Wizard101 is the best online multiplayer game ever! Me and my friends have been playing ever since like 2011. Also i love how i get to meet so many new friends, I’ve met two awesome friends(a shoutout to Tatiana FireWhisper and Belgrim) and they have made Wizard101 a more better game, they have helped me with all sorts of quests! Also i really liked the Halloween part of the year, new bosses and unique iteams, it was so fun and a really cool experience and i hope you do it this year to! I would recommend this game to anyone, my brothers and sisters play to, and i love playing with them. The best parts of the game is when i reached Xiablba, it was so scary and fun, now im currently stuck at Star Seafall quest. Also another cool part was when i figured out about HYBRID pets, which i thought was so cool, i did some and got AMAZING pets! Overall, i love this game, and my friends and I play some Wizard101 togather. Well, thank you for reading and I wish A GOOD LUCK TO EVERY CONTESTANT OUT IN THE SPIRAL!!! 🙂
my favorite year of wizard101 was year 5 and year 6 because that is the time I met my best friends and it was a great way to talk to my sister who lives very far away and I love my family I also can talk to my cousin and on the 6th year I loved the great update of being able to get to level one hundred, and the even better update: fishing! When I made it to level 12 , gardening was my favorite thing to do. Now I am a Grandmaster Gardener with many friends who I love helping with questing. And when I started fishing more often , I couldn’t be happier and my triceratops is my favorite I even gave it a name. I named it Spike. Spike brings me to my hardest quests since I was still fighting off the undead in wizard city, now I battled in Krokotopia , Grizzlehiem , and Wisyteria . I am still questing in Grizzlehiem, but i can not wait until I am exalted and help my friends become exalted. One day, I got 2 different Bundles, I got the Hive Bundle, and the Arcane Bundle, recently I hatched my best pet with someone with an ice wyvern, I could never be happier with the results now I love taking Prince Oscar around and he is going to fight greatly alongside me I know I can get Prince Oscar to mega and same with all my other pets. I hope my sister can get to be exalted. That’s also a wish I hope for my cousin, and my friends. that wish already came true for one of my best friends. Now I wish I could become exalted and get my pets to mega. That’s also a wish for all my friends and I hope their wish will come true sometime soon.
My favorite year has to be 2013-2014 because of all the wonderful updates. I loved fishing and have been working to catch some real cool fish! I also enjoyed khrysalis world which was a great end to the second arc. I loved Aquila Dungeons because of the Zeus bolt and the hades gear. I enjoyed the crown shop remake and I am excited to see how far it goes! Another Great year was when Avalon came out. Avalon is one of my favorite worlds. Shadow magic was a fun update that gives things a twist and all the other minor or quest updates that make the game better are all great! Anyways that’s my favorite year even though I loved every year! I will continue to play this game for awhile and look forward to future updates!
I have been playing Wizard101 for about four years and i still enjoy the game it started off with me not knowing anything most people would quit but i didn’t i actually thought i can make my wizard the best in the game. I realized that i would never be the best there will always be someone in your life that is way better than you are but i didn’t quit to be the best from years ago and now i still try this game makes me try new things and go for what i like, and to do stuff alone. it was awesome when the year i started playing again my other account i forgot the username so i made a new one and play on it it was amazing once i made the new character i right away went on to buying membership with the money i got from christmas only money i can get through whole year so now i am saving little by little just to pay for this game but its totally worth paying for what i am saying is this is the best game i have played yet been playing for years and my favorite year is this year with all the new updates i remember when it was new barely had stuff but the game has improved so much and i like that i just want to. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS THE BEST GAME I HAVE PLAYED KINGSISLE!
what is my favorite year is This year because of the new stuff we had gotten and I like the mounts and pets as well and hoping to see new ones to. I like to play wizard101 and pirates101 they are fun and I get to make friends and work together on a quest or just look around and fight to level up anytime we want and help others that needs some help.I hope to see lot more new stuff to get and hoping to have fun with the new stuff as well and I like the fishing because it helps me to get coins and hoping to see more new fish to catch and sell.I train my pets a lot to get them where I want them but they cost a lot of coins to breed them to get new ones but it is fun. I hope to see new pets on wizard101 so i can buy them and train them and have more fun. I like battling with others and having fun getting free stuff and sometimes it get hard to beat the boss and sometime it can be easy but at least I have fun working together with others and with friends. wizard101 is a fun game and I do play it when I get the chance to play. I am always hoping to see new things that they add and hoping to get more free stuff that they give us to help my wizard out on quest and hopin to make more friends that can help out on my quest so I can level up my wizard. All i like to do is have fun and get new mounts or pets and make more friends and go fishing and sell stuff for coins when i need them. i like this year because you guys added new details about the game and you should try to make a new world that everyone can go that is called Leafian and in that world you can earn cool loot and get a death wings if you are in the half way finished of any other elemental wings like ice,fire,myth,ballance,death,and life wings and the power full one the elemental wings that you can get int the last boss.
My favorite year of wizard101 was this year. This year I gained new allies, found new worlds, and obtained new treasures. I faced new foes like none I’ve ever seen. My level rose to outstanding proportions as I fought. As I explored the spiral I found new wonders and new horrors. In wizard city I wiped out Malistaire’s forces. In Krokotopia I gazed at the great ruins of the kroks and stopped the kroks from rising once again. In Marleybone I fought crime and restored law and order. In Mooshu I brought peace and slayed all the evil Oni. In Dragonspyre I faced the Dragon Titan army and am yet to defeat Malistaire. I won and loss, found loot and lost coin, and I felt joy and anger. With every spell I cast I make a new a stand, not just to the enemy but to the battles to come, and for the friends I gain. Here I have power, but a at the same time a risk. The risk of destroying everything around me and myself, and with that a thrill a rush of so many emotions. I loathed others, I gained pride for others, and most importantly they were proud of me. They needed me as much as I needed them and because of that we work together in order to stand our ground to help save the spiral. The spiral is a place I found fascinating, odd, and beautiful. So because of that I had a reason to protect it’s beauty and everyone in it, so then every time I looked up to the sky I try to imagine that someone in the spiral is doing the same. And so because of how I feel about the spiral I think that this year is my one and only favorite year in this game. Hope i win the contest.
My Favorite year of Wizard101 would have to be this year because I have seen so many improvements on everything and so many things added to Wizard101 its crazy just when you start to think they cant do anything else to make the game better they make a level 100 cap and add fishing to the game its just an all around favorite and I think everybody should play this game, I can just let every year be my favorite year if that was an option because they surprise me with more and more things they add to the game. All these years where my favorite wizard101 years and i always enjoyed the prizes, friends, free gifts, and especially the friends that got me through all these quests n etc i enjoyed this game and hope for another year in wizard101
The best year of wizard101 for me is this year. It is my favorite because i finally got a membership and i also bought the majestic bundle. But the other reasons this is the best year is because I am now able to make my character go higher that level 16. I would really love to get this crown set because i really would like to by this gear for my lvl 32 balance character or my lvl 12 life or even both. This game is literally my life i stay up all night playing it. I don’t really really play so much during the day because i either have school or because i am sleeping from playing all night. I really cannot right much about this year because i recently started back and i cant remember anything from years ago but i really hope that you pick me as one of your winners
My favorite of wizard101 years is 2011 because I start playing in 2012. First, I got no idea what to do and where to go. Then I try PVP, but I loose all the times. I wok so hard, and now my lvl is max and I really enjoying this game.

my favorite thing about wizard 101 is how there is a lot of quests how you can get clothes and how you could team up in dungeons . My favorite year was the 2014 fishing update. It is really easy to get gold quick. Fishing is also just
fun. The crowns shop update was also nice. It is a lot easier to to navigate it. I just like to play the game wish my friends and brother. All in all my favorite year was 2014.
